Is anybody making money matched betting?

jadexx13 · 22/01/2018 07:59

Hi I have recently started matched betting and am just trying to get my head around it all, because I already had accounts with a number of the bookies I haven’t been left with many new customer offers and can’t see how the money can be made month on month once these have all been used, is anybody currently doing it and would you please shed some light on how the money is made on a monthly basis please?

Bump as I’m interested too

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 25/01/2018 18:17

Ooh yes I started and dropped it when life got too busy but mean to start again tonight! Oddsmonkey is a good site to check out if you're struggling with intro deals on teamprofit

vandrew4 · 26/01/2018 11:52

I make on average £2K a month. I do put a fair few hours an afternoon into it though

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 26/01/2018 16:23

@vandrew4 wow! I was looking at the 1k a month plans yesterday but it said to allow 30-40 hours a week for that. Is that bollocks then?

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 26/01/2018 16:24

Also vandrew4, I've nearly done all my welcome offers and made about 500. What should I be looking to do next?

FreckledLeopard · 26/01/2018 16:27

I've been doing it since June and am at the £3000 profit mark.

Main things I'd advise doing are signing up to Team Profit and then taking up a subscription to OddsMonkey. Both are brilliant (the Team Profit facebook group is especially helpful).

Once you've done the sign-ups, then there are usually on-going free bet offers (e.g. William Hill had one this week). Price boosts are good and I usually do those most days. Casino offers can be very profitable.

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 26/01/2018 16:31

Ok I've only done the free intro sports bets and have built up circa 300 at betfair then bits and bobs like 30 at william hill etc. If I go on oddsmonkey will it give an idea on where to go next then?

FreckledLeopard · 26/01/2018 16:45

Oddsmonkey and Team Profit are both brilliant. They will definitely open up a world of further matched betting (and other offers) to you.

vandrew4 · 26/01/2018 17:07

I'm on profit accumulator but use oddsmonkey for arb'ing. I do a solid 3 hours an afternoon when little ones are asleep. mainly horses but for example today, did some good arb'ing for £80 profit, one boom on a hills high 5 offer for a £75 free bet, a £10 free loyalty bet from brucebetting, and another £5 loyalty bet from bet mclean, so a half reasonable day.

vandrew4 · 26/01/2018 17:10

dr ranjseyebrows. the time is really dependant on whether you strike lucky early on in the day. you may very well do the first horse race and end up with £100 - £150 of free bets. then you could call it a day 9 I never do though as FOMO is too strong!) alternatively, you could have a boomless day and just slog along arb'ing and doing things like bet 5 in play bets and get a £10 free bet.

passthecremeeggs · 26/01/2018 17:49

Ooh following. I started last year but ran out of initial offers and stalled - still have all the money in various places so want to get started again.

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 26/01/2018 18:18

I have no idea what arbing is yet Grin i've a handful of welcome offers yet to do and then I will signup to oddsmonkey free account and do welcome offers refunds and see where to go after that.

vandrew4 · 26/01/2018 18:56

eyebrow arb'ing is where the price at the bookies is higher than the lay bet so you bet and lay and make an instant profit. eg. back bet of 6 and lay bet of 5, put £100 on and you have instantly made a profit of £18

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 26/01/2018 19:20

Oh that's interesting. How do you find them? Is there a list on oddsmonkey?

vandrew4 · 26/01/2018 19:28

eyebrow if you get oddsmonkey's oddsmatcher up with all filters cleared it will show which ones are above 100%. those are your arbs. Worth doing if about 105 % or more. only do it ongubbed accounts or with bookies that have no offers on as you will get restricted / gubbed after a bit

Godstopper · 27/01/2018 11:12

Beware palpable errors with high ratings. They usually mean that the bookie has made an error and your bet may be voided.

I do:

  • Lock in accas.
  • 2UP (though PPs odds are shocking of late).
  • Boosts, e.g. Will Hill flash odds.
  • Casino offers if there are not stupid wagering requirements.
  • Bet clubs (PP, Betsafe, Bruce Betting, Titanbet for now)

I also do a fair amount of trading, but won't go into that here - I wouldn't call it gambling, though many would.

Make a three figure sum each month. Suits me. I've only lost one account in four years (God knows how I've managed to keep most - I do 'mug' bet so that may help).

I'm on OM. Use a different name there than the ones you have at bookies - that's just asking for trouble.

Foodymucker · 28/01/2018 20:18

I want to try this but as I’m signed up to lots of bookies already ( betting on the grand national ) I don’t have any opening offers so don’t know how to get started ?

Confused2018 · 28/01/2018 22:54

Foodymucker, you need to opt in to each bookies email/ text notifications. Everyday then you will receive reload offers from them. Like ‘Place a £10 bet on the Arsenal v Chelsea match and get a £5 free bet’ etc. That and if you sign up to Oddsmonkey they have LOADS of offers, including sign up offers from bookmakers you didn’t even know existed (you’ve probably only signed up to the popular ones, e.g William Hill, Ladbrokes etc)

Foodymucker · 29/01/2018 14:06

Thank you confused that helps a lot

ethornton18 · 29/01/2018 19:49

Odds monkey have an offer on at the moment. Premium access for a week for only £1, it's a good way to try out matched betting if you're not sure whether its for you.

FrontRowSeat · 31/01/2018 06:37

Can anyone explain how to make money from casino offers please?

(Like many posters I’ve exhausted all the new customer offers from bookies).

It’s the wagering requirements which stump me.

mosley0305 · 30/03/2019 09:12

Matchbetting is really good, i made about £1000 from it starting small. Its really good and its better when you get people referring you as they get free bets to use and so do you. If anyone needs any help then message me and im glad to help with any questions. Also if you do sign up to profitaccumulator which is really good, can you use my referral code as it would help me a lot. Trying to prepare for my first so all will help Grin. The code is 299391
