So I get SMP and I've been on maternity now since end of October I've just got this months pay slip and it says £563.92 SMP which is correct it then says £1013.40 tax paid then in net payment it says I'm due to receive £1577.32.

I don't understand why has this happened t anyone else or am I missing something ? My tax code this month is different to last should I ring the tax office ?

Did you overpay tax last year?

It sounds like a tax reimbursment to me. If so you usually get a letter from hmrc about it though but it is a few years since I have been lucky enough to have one.

I had one in April 2017 and my wage goes up by £1500 every 6months my tax amount does constantly change. I think it may be a re bait but I haven't received a letter

I had tax rebates in feb/march time when i was on maternity leave. I never had a letter.

It’s probably correct, just a tax refund to correct the amount of tax you have paid in total this tax year to date.
