When is money due to go in next?

Fekko · 05/01/2018 08:01

When are you due to be paid? What bills are looming? How much do you need to ride you over?

The first port of call would be friends or family, or ask the bank for a temp overdraft.

Gazelda · 05/01/2018 08:01

Can you ask for an advance on your wages? Speak with CAB to check that you're receiving all the benefits you're entitled to. Is the DC's father contributing?

How have you run out of money?! Confused surely you keep a rough tally of what you are spending so you have enough to cover your outgoings?! Its the first week of the month.. .

Sell something
Borrow off a friend
Ask for an advance at work
Check all cost pockets for lopping coins
Raid the children's piggy bank or bank accounts
Ask your bank for a small overdraft
Find out how to get referred to the food bank

Maybe she's paid weekly?

Uffishthought · 05/01/2018 08:08

Do you have supermarket loyalty/points cards? Can you possibly apply for a starter credit card? Not with a view to more debt, but if you think you could resist using it beyond this crisis then you could have funds in a day or so.

somewhereovertherain · 07/01/2018 13:07

Have you any loyalty points. I found I had a bit on a coop card which paid for my little shop.

Can you sell anything. Local seek and sell sites on facebook can be a good way to get some quick cash

Food banks could help.

You need to budget better than this. You can't just wake up one morning and look at your bank account and have nothing. Monitor your incomings and outgoings and try and avoid this happening again. Get a loan from a family member would probably be the best way forward. and tighten your belt for the next few months.
