it depends nn how much youhave saved.

CU's work differently - but my CU says that if i have savings of £50 i can borrow £50

what the chuff is te point of that you ask - well

i have to keep my £50 savings and then when i have paid my loan back - i also save whilst paying loan back so i end up with say £60 savings - after i have paid my loan

better than drawing out your £50 and having fcuk all.

this way you can carry on saving forever and then buy yourself a car or something with your savings - something where the interest would be really high - you can offset with a loan from the CU.

I've probably got about £50 saved as well, maybe I should phone them to see what I could get

thanks for replying custy, I know not many people on MN would have to go near a credit union so I appreciate you replying

yo babe!

not a problem

do you need certain amount for something specific?

ssd · 19/04/2007 11:35

yeah, kids want to do to Disneyland!!!

actually even just a short flight (like easyjet cheapy)to visit relatives in England would do them, dh1 says he's the only boy in his class who's never been on a plane (and knowing them round here he's not kidding)

I hate for him to feel poor

none of us have even got passports, dh and I haven't been abroad for 11 yrs since honeymoon, so no need for passports
