Black Friday BT broadband offers

Anyone signed up? Any issues? I am tempted as currently being charged £56 a month by Virgin for phone and broadband only and BT are offering same for £29.99 for next 18 months if I sign up before Monday 27th Nov. However, am wary of BT customer service etc. How do people find Virgin vs BT for Broadband? We are a family of 4 who are often all connected.

Despite me giving them 6 weeks notice of moving house and them saying everything was ready to go on move in day including giving me a telephone number which I used in change of details communications with literally everyone they still messed up and I was without broadband for 8 weeks!

On the plus side (after hours of wrangling though) i ended up with decent compensation! However the broadband itself and no hassle would have been better!

If that is fibre, worth a go. If it is copper it is overpriced.
