I've never had any claims done but feel I should

I've had mortgages for the last 26 years, don't remember who they were with before the current one

I've not had loans or credit cards

I've had a few store cards but usually paid them in full

I'm not sure if its worth me applying and as I cant remember who I had stuff with, is it worth it?

Although you won’t need the paperwork. You will need to remember who the accounts were with I’m afraid.

Will your current mortgage provider have any details as to who they "inherited" the mortgage from? It's hard to believe that this type of transaction doesn't leave a paper trail.

Go to resolver.co.uk and proactively claim. Egg is one that you do through the Citibank website.

Do try and find any information it is helpful - I logged into an old email account to get some info but it’s absolutely not mandatory.

I got £1600 back from less than an hours effort one evening!
