Hi all, I am moving away permanently in early January to Spain. Does anyone know if you have to give the Tax Credits the new address overseas? as although I have an agreed job to go to, I am yet to find a place to live (yikes) but I just wanted to forewarn the tax credits as soon as possible, so I could have it all finalised before I leave. I know my tax credits claim will end as I intend to stay away more than a year, but just wondered if anyone had previously done this and what I should gather info wise to tell them, what do they require/request. thanks in adavance. :)

Ask them?

I ended my tax credits claim and I didn't have to give a reason, just told them I no longer wanted to claim. All they need to know is that you've decided to stop claiming.

Hi Cloud Apple - thanks for replying - wow that seems real simple - did you let them know over the phone or post or internet etc? I was just trying to get it all sorted before I start my new life - thanks for reply and any more info appreciated - Smile
