Hi I've come on here to find if anyone else else is in the same situation. Every month after we have paid for bills and house. Me and my partner have £500 to live on. Would you say we'll be able to manage? I have been so upset over this.

I've been to cab, and have been told we cannot claim anything because we earn too much. X

You are worried that £500 pm is not enough for what?

Designer handbags? Your crack habit?

Or just spends - coffees ,days out etc?

Without telling us we can’t help you op

£500 to spend on anything you like per month and you can't cope?

I think you need a reality check. A lot of people live on £50 per month after house and bills.

I can't understand what you are spending your money on.

dementedma · 21/10/2017 16:58

Would love to have that left over every month. Get a grip

MyDcAreMarvel · 21/10/2017 16:59

Oh yes I remember your other thread. £500 not including bills in food is loads. It's quite frankly insulting to say " people shouldn't live this this". That is unless you mean you feel guilty having £500 disposable income whilist others are going without food , heating etc. If that's the case make a monthly donation to the food bank.

BarbaraofSevillle · 21/10/2017 17:00

Why would you think you were entitled to benefits when you have plenty of money to live on?

Op, I understand that you have mental health issues. That is what you need help with, not extra money. Or is your DP financially abusive? Is he spending all the money on himself?

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/10/2017 17:02

The most we ever have left over after bills not including food is £500 and that's on a good month.

PlateOfBiscuits · 21/10/2017 17:09

Can you try and break down what exactly it is you are worried about?

What do you spend the £500 pounds on?
