Money apps that require bank details

Has/does anyone use any of the apps which help with savings and tracking spending that require bank details? I really need to take some control over my spending and I can't trust myself to be honest with writing things down so it would be really helpful to have something to analyse but I'm unsure about the safety? Thanks Smile

What apps are you talking about?

Apps like OnTrees, You Need A Budget, Mint etc

So many options, would like some opinions from people who have used any of them that aren't the websites own testimonials if that makes sense?

I've used OnTrees, which I believe is owned by the Daily Mail. It was good. In terms of security, as long as your bank requires the chip-and-PIN thing or a call-back before taking money out of your account, a security breach on their end wouldn't result in you losing your money. However, you are trusting the Daily Mail with your bank details...

Yeah, rather not give the Daily Fail my bank details. I'll check with my bank if they have those checks in place, good shout. Thanks!
