Any way of increasing income?

I'm assuming the answer is no, as I have been on benefits since my ex husband left me 15 months ago (I have four children including a baby and one with autism that I claim Carer's Allowance for).

However, since March, wanker exH has stopped paying maintenance and is apparently now magically self employed so I will probably never get any money from him. Before March I was receiving £85 a week through the CMS, and this was due to go up as he earned more last tax year. It's a big drop of money each month.

I've sold quite a few things on eBay this week but obviously that isn't a permanent fix.

Anyone? 😞

Really hard since you have four children and a child with autism so I assume you don't exactly have any time?!

CMS needs a bloody shake up. 'self employed' NRP should be assessed as earning 40hours of minimum wage if they claim to be earning less than that.

Maybe online surveys?

Online chat jobs for various companies

I have heard good things about matched betting although have yet to try it myself. I think there is a MN thread dedicated to it if you wanted to find out more.

IF he's self employed he should be lore flexible in 50/50 childcare and you can get a part time job - he can't have it both ways

Are you claiming tax credits have you told them about the dla?

AndNowItIsSeven · 26/07/2017 01:05

You should be entitled to approx £460 a week plus housing and council tax benefit op. Are your benefits correct?

AndNowItIsSeven · 26/07/2017 01:06

Plus dla but I havent included that as assuming it's ring fenced for your child's disability costs.

I did sign up for some online surveys but now constantly seem to be emailed spam! Maybe I need to find some more reputable sites...

Unfortunately he can have it both ways. He has seen the children twice since March Sad he's also an abusive twat so his contact needs to be supervised. Even though he left me it's certainly not in his best interests to allow me free time!

Yeh the eldest has been awarded DLA, thank goodness. Really didn't think we'd get that but it helps a lot
