Student finance, SAHP, evidence of support question

I recently quit my job to look after DD full time, she's profoundly Deaf and receives DLA, I get Carer's Allowance. I plan to be off with her approx 2 years while she is rehabilitated after CI. I got a letter today from student finance who want me to update my details after they were notified by HMRC that I'd left my employer.

Looking at the options, it looks like I'm in the "supported by a third party" (DH) bracket, so he has to complete the third party declaration part of the form. Fine, but they also want three months bank statements or other evidence of how he supports me which he technically does, but all our money is family money, grrr Do I really have to send these? I expect that bank statements showing DH putting money into my account would be sufficient? We have a joint account but he doesn't get his wage paid into that one, he gets it into his own and transfers it to the joint account.

Does anyone know if I need to declare the Carer's Allowance I receive? I expect not, as they only ask about JSA, IS, IB & ESA on the letter.

Thank you!
