Tax credit confusion - late payment

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone has had a similar experience

I moved house earlier this year. The day I moved in I called HMRC to tell them, after spending over an hour on hold I gave up as had to do school run, and the next day I went abroad on holiday for 2 weeks.

When I came back my tax credit payment didn't go in (was due 4th July) I called and it turns out they'd sent a letter to my old address while I was away, and because it bounced back they put a suspension on my account. Fair enough, no problem - I changed my address there and then on the phone.

But now I've checked my online account and it says my next payment is due by the 17th and the amount is only half what I usually get! Surely it should be the full amount to bring me up to date? Or is this an interim payment and I'll get the rest of the missing payment along with the next standard one?

Sorry for the ramble, thanks in advance for any wisdom x

I've renewed online recently but no change in circumstances bar this address change :/ God now I'm worried, I've got bills to pay which I've been putting off
