HELP unable to generate a final bill with energy company

So I'm aware these days that you can only go online and tell your energy company you're moving if you give a forwarding address under the assumption you're keeping the provider, or you can try to leave online which is equally obstructive and it takes you to a dead end (a telephone number that deliberately doesn't reply)

Anyone found a way round this? It was the same with my broadband provider but they have a store on the high street so I canceled that way.

Helpful, gentle replies welcome - I'm burnt out trying to move during a difficult transition.

Tell them you are moving abroad. You don't need a forwarding address. Just tell them the date you will leave the property and give the final reading. When the new occupiers move in they need to give a meter read and any credit/debit will be done automatically online.
