Fraudulant use of my address

I have been recieving letters from a debt collection agency, to my address but a name totally unknown to me. Apparently this person owes over £6k on a credit card and although I have contacted the debt collection agency and the bank originally involved, I am still recieving letters re debt to my address. Any ideas how this would affect my credit rating and how to stop them sending letters to my address. I only opened the first letter by mistake and the rest have been returned to sender.

if the letters are not in your name, it will not affect your credit rating. the idea of a house being "blacklisted" is no longer in practice. You would be linked to other addresses where YOU applied for credit (past addresses etc) but somebody else using your addresss will not impact on your status

make sure they are not on the electoral roll (register?) at your address. if they are you can get them taken off. otherwise can you contact -is it Experion? to get a note put on?
