Hi all - can anyone savvier than me tell me whether I should go with a 2 or a 5 year mortgage fix? Thanks

We did a 5 year fix a couple years ago, and the rates and cost were pretty similar - the difference was the fees charged for the different mortgages. Even so they were almost the same.

When mortgages start charging £1499 arrangement fees or £999, that cost can be more important than the rate, assuming you aren't tied in beyond your fix.
