Stopping self employment

I stopped being self employed in January and am about 75% sure I notified HMRC at the time. Am now doing my tax return and I can't find any record or email from HMRC acknowledging I contacted them. Would they have written or emailed? Anyone know? If I resubmit a stopping self employment form again I think I risk a fine... thanks

You won't get a fine if you resubmit.

Also, there's a box on the s/e page of your return where you can put the cessation date.
