Concentrix

Hi
Hope someone can help. I've had a letter through from Concentrix asking for all childcare cost details.
Overall it's £105 per week actual vs. estimated £110 per week estimated essentially due to twat of ex not cancelling childcare vouchers quickly enough so

However - I didn't call hmrc and update details during the year. (DD1 finishing nursery/starting school, Dd2 starting nursery)
Am I gonna be in trouble??
Obviously happy to pay back anything that's overcharged, although my income was lower than py too.
Any experts about?

They have received my documents and its been 8 weeks now but still not heard back. I called them and apparently they will write when they have a decision.

Oncandystripedlegs · 13/06/2016 13:05

I haven't heard a thing either ... Have had all my documents back so just waiting !

wow23 · 13/06/2016 14:51

Its been 3 weeks still i had my documents back and still not heard. I am going to ring them towards the end of the end of the week and chase it up

Well, still nothing from Concentrix but have had my renewal back and they have reduced my entitlement by about £150 per month. I have been on entitledto and their figures suggest it should have gone up by about £100.......So confused by the whole thing now. Will call them but don't have the time today as am in work. If I have had my renewal back does it mean Concentrix have finished?

wow23 · 30/06/2016 16:12

Oncandy, if you have had your renewal back that sounds like concentrix have let them know as i was told renewal wouldnt be done until concenteix had closed the case and let hmrc know. How long ago did you renew?

Oncandystripedlegs · 30/06/2016 18:00

I renewed about 8 weeks ago ,about the same time I sent the stuff to concentrix . It doesn't mention anything about an overpayment so don't know why my money has gone down. Will ring them next week and update !

We got a letter from concentrix in May asking us to confirm child care costs, realised we'd made a mistake but hadn't been receiving any child care element any way so we wrote back detailing child care with invoices and covering letter. got our documents back within a fortnight with a letter saying they would write with a decision. That was June, have heard nothing since and not been able to get through on the phone. We haven't been able to renew as were told we have to speak to concentrix by hmrc. Had a letter saying our TC had been stopped as we hadn't renewed and owed X amount back. Phoned HMRC to say we couldn't renew as waiting for concentrix so got sent another pack with instructions to speak to bloody concentrix! Phoned C. Waited over half an hour then gave up again.
Today we got a letter from HMRC saying they'd had lots of problems with C so had taken our case back and should phone them if we thought we were still entitled to TC.

TBH we weren't getting much anyway and we'd rather just give the whole cock up as a bad job and cope without, IF we weren't being asked to pay back something we were due (and still are).
I'm pleased we are back with HMRC, not something I ever thought I'd say. Still can't get through to the buggers very often as we both work and don't have hours to spend on hold, but the ones I've spoken to at least try to be helpful.
I do feel sorry for the 150 concentrix workers they've got shut of but the company as a whole was less than useless
Can't wait to get this sorted then they'll get a lovely letter telling them how much better they can use their £XX a month, perhaps by answering the telephone, or coming into the 21st century with an online system that works.

And PHEW.

Interesting that hmrc are taking cases back. Hope that makes it easier for you trooble.
I finally got resolution on Friday (although I won't really believe it til I get confirmation by post) 5.5 months after I received the first letter.
When I came back from holiday I had a letter dated a min 15 days before saying as I hadn't sent the details they asked for they were judging my valid claim to be £0 together with a letter from hmrc saying I owed £4k
Took forever to get them on the phone, gave them tracking no, told I would get a call-back in 3 days. Obviously heard nothing, wasn't allowed to talk to hmrc etc although they did say concentrix had applied for a fine.
Essentially a month later I actually got through to them again and as they couldn't find my documents but I had a tracking number they asked me to confirm over the phone what the weekly cost was and as it was within £10 they will reverse/reinstate everything. It will take 30 mins then 48hrs to get onto hmrc system to generate letter.
Hope everyone gets an equally good result
