Party Wall agreement - How much did you pay ?

just got a quote from surveyor to do Party Wall Agreement and we have just picked ourselves up off the floor. We are building so should our shitty neighbour decide to use a different surveyor we will have to pay for that aswell .

How much did you pay so we can get a rough idea ? Thanks

we have been quoted up to £660 plus vat by one company and £800 plus vat. The first company said it could be less if neither neighbour objects whereas the second company gave £800 as a start with extra costs if the neighbours do not agree to the work going ahead!! We are in north London

Mummydear, Can I ask how much you were quoted and whereabouts in the country you are?

mummydear · 11/01/2007 19:14

We are in Surrey ,

We have been quoted £2,300 + Vat which includes two party wall agreemnts ( both neighbours) and for one of the neighbours it includes drainage survey, as their drains run close to the buiding ecavation.

As mentioned this doesn't include the neighbours fee should they employ their own surevyor.

blimey! I thought the £800 people were having a laugh but am speechless (well, almost ) at your quote.

Needless to say we are getting another quote !
