Does your tax, NI, deductions etc start again

In April?
I appear to be too dim to understand what's going on. On a 0 hours contract. In Feb no deductions as only paid a few hundred quid. In March huge deductions but had higher pay.
In April now does it go back to 0 and restart.

I'm not clear what you asking. It is a new tax year but ni etc don't work to financial years.

Not really no. You're tax is paid on the basis that you'll earn the same as last month for the rest of the year, but once you get to the end of a tax year,if it is clear you've earned less than expected either your employer reduces the amount of tax or you wait years for HMRC to work it out and refund you.

Thanks, wonder should I look into tax rebate then for last year as all I earned was £1600.
