cheapest way to send dollars to America?

Hi,
I need to send $505 to California, my bank charges £20, is there a cheaper way please? Thanks

Can you send via paypal? I did this with a payment to Germany a few weeks ago

If you are buying something and want to guarantee that it is sent to you, use an escrow payment. Safer if not cheaper.
