removing ex wife details

My partner has been divorced for 10 years. No financial dealings or accounts with ex wife. He had a joint account long ago closed, when he was married. We moved house a few months ago. We are now getting letters addressed to her and him about the interest rate on the closed account. When he enquired, he was told they can't find that account it's so old. He doesn't even bank with that bank any more, but does have a credit card with a bank in that group, which is how they have his address. How can we tell them to stop sending her letters to our house, and remove the tie between them. The bank said 3 months ago that they will sort it. Do we have grounds to complain? She has a very poor credit history.
Thanks for any advice
