Advice needed re Goldfish and the CCCS

When everything kicked off with DH and he lost his job, we arranged with all our creditors to pay them through the cccs as we could not pay everything off with no income.
This was over a year ago and we were under the impression that everything was ok. Had a letter from Goldfish today asking me to call them.
Apparently we have a default as not making the monthly payments, and they now want to put another default on as the fixed payment plan we have had with them for over a year is no longer viable as they were taken over by morgan stanly about 5 months ago.
I was never told when we went on the original payment plan that a default would be put on. They have also said that we were expected to make the monthly payments as well as the fixed payment plan as they had suspended interest. Therefore our account was in arrears. I have looked at the last statement to check and there is nothing about arrears or 2 monthly payments etc so i am really confused now. The lady i spoke to said that there was nothing that i could do about it. However i was told when we originally made the payment plan that we would not gwet a default as we had spoken to them and were not effectivly 'defaulting'. Also that the payment agreed was ok as a monthly payment. The 2nd default is going on as we cannot afford to up the monthly payments agreed with them and the cccs.
Not sure where i can go with this as obviously we are paying a lower amount than minimum payments but i thought we had an agreement. Does anyone have any experience with this or know where i can go from here?
