My Granny has left me some money in her will. Can anyone tell me, do I have to declare this money to the tax man?

No - the executor will have been responsible for ensuring that any Inheritance Tax has been paid. You will have to declare any interest you earn on it in the normal way.

OK LM Thanks = phew!. Being very thick but what do you mean by 'in the normal way'? Sorry! Would it be what usually happens when you have money in a Savings Account etc?

Yes. Obviously the bank deducts basic rate tax so if you are a higher rate tax payer you will have to declare the interest on your tax return.
