I have applied for a job, most of which I am well qualified to do and have been shortlisted for an interview. There is a part of the job to do with financial planning that I have not done before. I haven't said that I have: all I have said is that I have written budgets, which I have but I haven't written a financial statement at the end of a project.
Part of the interview is to read a fund report for a project and to say what I would suggest. I think I have some valid ideas but was planning to check them out by going online and learning how to read a financial statement. All I can find, however, is how to read annual statements for businesses and charities - which this is not.
I just want to check that what I have to say is not silly. The problems in the statement seem fairly straightforward but I just would like some way of checking my thoughts.
is there anything you could point me to which might help?
