Ok got a job with a lady i new from my sons school, she opened a new salon and took me on, she never looked at my certificates wich i thought was odd, and having had some problems with quite a few rumours flying about that the lady who owns the salon wasnt qualified (we live in a little village where people gossip ALOT) ithe overall business has gone downhill badly, since it opened beggining of sept and being really busy, it has now got so no-one is ever in! i said to her the other day that to save her the hassle i will volunteer to leave and she can call me when (if) business picks up, i only ever went in 2 days a week and it was clear she was struggling to pay my wages, she said she was very grateful and we left it at that, i have since been told that she has told all my clients that she had to sack me as im not qualified , she has even made the mistake of telling my friends who have obviously come right back and told me, her neighbour who is also a hairdresser came round to see me and told me she did her hairdressing course at the same time as my boss and she told me she never finished the course so it is my boss who is not qualified not me - i have since learnt that this lady has always been a liar and a shit stirer and so as bitter as i may sound i plan to bring her down, she has caused me alot of hurt and upset and has caused me to loose any respect as a hairdresser, i have had no end of trouble since she started her lies, can anyone advise me on who i can report her too since she isnt qualified, she never had me on the books as i have just found out and im not sure if thats legal or not, anyway as you can see im in need of some help PLEASE anyone - i would really appreciate getting some justice!

erm - Inland Revenue if she never had you on her books (altho' will that get you in trouble too?????). There must be some association that beauticians belong to after they get qualified ... try googling it ... sorry not much help ...

Can you report her to the professional body that you got your qualifications from?
She is comitting slander too, by spreading lies about you.

She may not have to be qualified, but if she is passing herself off as qualified when she isn't then that is obtaining money by deception and that you can report to the police.
