Social housing budget cuts

Zazzabeans · 09/07/2015 22:59

Does anyone know anything yet ?
Will it be in increment brackets? Eg £30000 pay x amount, earn £35000 and pay a bit more and so on?
Also will there be other things taken into consideration eg number of dependants etc.

I don't think anybody knows yet do they?

I'm sure it'll be done in a way to keep the frothers happy though.

But it also says that social rents will drop 1percent each year for 4 years. Seems unfair when private tenants will probably have increased rents, decreased housing benefit and losses in tax credits.

It's this HB that will drop not the rents as I understand it.

I think it'll take a while for all the detail to be fleshed out...

It's the rents which will reduce by 1% a year not the HB although with a reduced rent HB will reduce too
