Mortgage overpayment & uncertain on career?

Bit of a wierd one but interested what others would do in my situation.

house - £73,000 left to pay over 33 years. Currently paying just over £300 a month. Partner pays this and most other bills as I wasn't working when we purchased it and was using savings to pay bills. Got a job, now had a baby so debating going back to work part time.

My question is, should or are we even in a position to overpay?

Dp doesn't save at all, I have a nest egg tucked away gathering dust. I think I'll get child tax credits if I do go back to work which may just be enough to see me through and no childcare to pay

thanks for reading

How old are you? 33 years is a long time. I would overpay if possible or you'll be paying into your 60's
