I've joined Experian but I dont understand it as I can't see my credit score or what debt I (supposedly) have? I recently got a letter from a well known payday loan company saying I owe over a thousand pound that needs repaying asap. I contacted payday loan people and they say they indeed have myself on record as taken out a loan and I needed to contact Experian. Problem is is I've never had a payday loan so I need to see my credit history - but I can't see what bit you click online to view your debts? I'm confused! Sorry if post is rambling and a bit crap I'm extremely tired but need this sorted.

You should be able to click on Your Report and then expand any entries on it. You can also ring them direct & ask them to talk you through it. They're really helpful - especially if it's an identity theft loan.

Thank you I might give them a ring are they still open? I'm rubbish with computers! Also has anyone ever had this happen and what was the outcome?

Experian helped us get three bogus payday loans wiped. They've got letters you can send to the providers - who obviously didn't carry out proper ID checks when they agreed the loan (one of ours gave a 'works' phone number that must have been his mate).

We got the loans wiped & credit score reset. We also got £100 compensation for inconvenience. Ask Experian to help you with the processes.
