... I have hundreds of squids of someone elses money sitting in my Paypal account, it's a eCheque that's just cleared, and I want to pay it to them quickly (before DH or I with our Ebay addictions start spending money that will draw on it..!) But for similar reasons, I would prefer not to pay it over to our bank account.
So I clicked 'withdraw' and then 'add another bank account' so as to put my friend's bank details in (it's for a boat (!) sold on Ebay on our Ebay account.) But what comes up is a blank form for me to add new details, except that it is clearly assuming it to be another of MY accounts because it is not allowing me the option of changing the surname.. it's our surname in there and you can't alter it.
So if I put my friends bank details in, but keep my name on the form, that is going to be a problem isn't it? Or is it?
I know I could just pay it into mine.. but it takes 7 days plus as it is.. (darn Paypal being a US based thingy) and I really would rather this money did not get sucked into my overdraft anyway.. even though I would still attempt to transfer it to said friends immediately. Just seems 'easier' to pay it straight from Paypal to them. Can I do this? There is no mention of this on the Paypal Q and As. Can't be that uncommon surely...
Please can someone advise. I had being in possession of someone else's money.
