Is it right that a single parent of two kids earning around £21, 500 a year world also get £130 a week in child benefit and child tax credits?

Are you writing an article for the daily mail and looking for frothers?

How much of the £130 a week is awarded to cover childcare?

FeckOffHeadache · 31/10/2014 10:08

No I'm wanting to leave an unhappy relationship and need to know where I stand financially. I have no child care to pay as they're both teens

I would think so
30 child benefit
And then 100ish tax credits

CalamitouslyWrong · 31/10/2014 10:11

Do leave. He sounds like a shit.

SoonToBeSix · 03/11/2014 00:36

Yes, that sounds correct. Also up to 70 percent of childcare costs.

Sorry missed they are teens.

yes, quite possibly.

I earn less so received more working and childcare tax credits (which went straight to nursery), no housing benefit though. XP was livid I could survive on my own.
