Where's the best place to put your DC's £250 they get when they are born?

Just realised I still have the voucher and done nothing with it.

Can I just put it in her Halifax account or is there a much better place I should be investing it with?

you have to put it in a stakeholder account

we did a mix of equities and cash savings
