I'm relying on you guys to calm me down before i leave this ar$ehole some seriously $hitty feedback!!

I bought a cot on the 2nd September, the cheque cleared on the 7th Sept... we haven't recieved the cot! I left it a week before i emailed him to ask if he had a rough idea as to when my cot would be delivered... no reply!
I then got his phone number and left him a very nice message with the same enquiry. He didn't return my call!
So, my dh rang him on Thursday and managed to speak to him. The guy said that his partner had tried to deliver the cot but hadn't been able too (no explanation offered). Since ordering this damn cot, there has always been someone in the house at all times. He clarified our address which was correct and said he'd try and get hold of his business partner to ascertain the whereabouts of my cot and he'd ring us back the same day. Guess what?? No phone call!

In the meantime, i've been checking on Ebay and several other buyers have left him negative feedback due to not having recieved their products.
My dh has just called him again and left him another message, pointing out that it's common coutersy to return phone calls etc... My dh, has until now, remained very calm about this but our 8 month old dd is currently sleeping on a make shift bed which isn't ideal and this to$$er is just stalling!!
Should i leave him crappy feedback or wait a while longer?? I either want my cot or my money back!! I'm furious with this bloke...how hard is it to return a phone call or send an email!!

you can raise a dispute with ebay and they will deal with this for you. You need to give them the item number and some other details and they will chase it up with the seller and im sure that if its not resolved they refund you.

womba1 · 25/09/2006 11:26

Thanks Kayleigh... do i have to leave it a certain amount of time or can i do this now?

OP posts:
kayleigh81 · 25/09/2006 11:28

i think you can do it now, from what i can remember as long as its been more than 14 days you can dispute it.

womba1 · 25/09/2006 11:30

Thanks Kayleigh

Yes, go through the dispute/item not received process. Hope it gets sorted for you. Ebay can be wonderful, but unfortunately there are always those bad apples lurking around.

womba1 · 25/09/2006 11:36

I'm now realising that Jabber!! I just can't abide bad manners! Even if he was to say that it was going to be another week before the cot was delivered, i'd be a little miffed at the time scale but i could cope with it. I'm just sitting in waiting for something that may or may not be delivered!!

We got some results through the dispute system but it was done through paypal, I'm not sure what happens with a cheque but I hope you get your money back.

If you're in north lancashire I have a cot...

womba1 · 25/09/2006 11:39

Awwwww thank you liquidclocks... but i'm as far South from you as i could possibly be!

We had an incident with an ebay seller who claimed that we had not payed. We had sent a check and after I was able to post the number and date sent, then said I would call the bank, she miraculously "found it" and sent the item. Since then I have tried to pay more attention to feedback, only use Paypal, and try to use more experienced sellers. Although, it it is an item I really like I will buy from a newbie, but not without some trepidation.

womba1 · 25/09/2006 11:47

Jabber, this bloke appears to run a baby store ... he's had 576 positive feedbacks, 5 neutral and 6 negative!!
Jeez. the more i talk about this, the more i want to make it 7 negative feedbacks!!!

I am glad you received your cot. If it was me i would still leave bad feedback or at least neutral and explain why, people need to be warned about this! :-)
