for some reason i didnt get paid child benefit today and eventually after 3 hours of trying to get through, the child benefit agency said they were informed last week that id moved.i didnt know you had to inform child benefit when you move?? never have before.i presumed they got all that information from your national insurance number?? went onto income support in august and since then ive had 3 letters from income support about the fact that ive moved address, when they've sent the letters to the same address ive lived at for four years!! could it be because ive ignored the last letter and not replied to it? they know where i live and have been paying me.im now hoping theat my income support money goes into the bank this week as im already £30 down.
anyone had this before or know anything about the child benefit side??

Anyone who is paid any benefit of any sort must always inform them that they've moved.
How else will they know???
You can't rely upon other people to do it.
When we moved i had to tell loads of people we'd moved, including doctor, dentist, health visitor etc.... the list seemed endless!!!!!!!
Just write a letter with your new address, it won't take too long to do and payments will resume quickly.

thats the thing.ive lived here for four years and still got paid child benefit and i had a letter sent here from them about the child benefit going up.they must've had the address and according to them they find it out direct from the benefits agency/inland revenue.rang them today and they've got no idea why they stopped it and are going to issue the payments to start again.hopefully sorted.now ive just got to give the housing and tax credits a kick up the bum!

Sorry, think my brain was a bit tired when i read this!!!!!!!!
Benefit people aren't exactly fast, unless they're owed money!!!!!!!!

Hopefully you'll get your cash before the weekend.

If you incur any bank charges because of them not paying you on time, let them know, and so long as you have bank statements they should pay any charges.
