Help with getting credit to but bigger car.CCJ's!!!

My dp and I have appalling credit though have become very responsible in the last 6months but cant get credit.Have a baby due in March.Im a childminder and dont want to give up any of my kids.We need a bigger car and really need to get a loan but dont want to be ripped off with interest.Defo dont want to get finance on a car as that is defo a rip off and want to own the car at the end of the payments.We have a citroen C3 and its TINY!!!!!
CAn anyone help?Is anyone else in similar boat?

TBH you have no chance of getting a decent deal until you've cleaned up your credit rating.
Do some maths is is cheaper to loose some of your childminding income or pay for the credit for the car.
Also owning the car at the end isn't always the best deal to get sometimes handing the keys back and trading in works better in the long term, cars are depreciating liabilities not assets.

Can't give any advice on good loans for this situation but what I would say is just be careful and look at the overall interest you'd be paying off as a lot of these companies you see that advertise credit for people with ccj's rip you off big time not just with the interest but all the handling fees. Have you considered speaking to your bank if you haven't done already?

If you own a home you have a chance of a decent rate as secured loan or if you have held a bank account at the same branch for some time and managed it well they may help. If so ask to speak to the account advisor at you local branch. Good luck X (grin)
