Hope someone can offer me sone advice. Im going round in circles on the internet!
I have worked for the same company for 3 years. I left to begin my maternity leave on 26th July 2013 and returned on 1st march 2014.
Last month My boss told myself and my colleague our bonuses had been signed off and would be paid in june.
Today my collegue called me and said our boss had just called him and he got 10%
I spoke to my boss later in the day and he said hed signed off all the bonuses and I wasnt on the list. He then asked me why was I under the impression I was getting one. He then denied saying he had told us anything about bonuses last month.
All my contract says about bonus is "during the continuance of their agreement and so long as the employee shall perform and observe the terms and conditions of their agreememt the employee may be entitled to a bonus as set and agreed by the remuneration comitee which may impose such terms as it thinks fit in relation to any bonus scheme determined by it. Bonuses are intended to reward exceptional effort that gas increased the company's profitably"
I have over performed since I have been back.
Where do I stand with this. I am so angry. I work extra hours every night when my little girl is in bed and I went back a week early to do them a favour and attend a trade show where we had to present.
Any advice would be appreciated.
They have not even offered me a pro rata bonus
