I wondered why my bank statement was low. £125 bloody pounds is anyone else with them and do you think this is unreasonable of them because its done by direct debit. I dont know how they can charge so much when heating been off since march!!

Is that for both gas and electric? If so, it seems about right. We pay £139 a month for both. If it's only gas, it seems high, unless you have a gas powered immersion heater for water.

I've spoken to dh says its for 3 months. Going to see if there is a monthly plan it must be both as you say. it just seems such alot when your not expecting it. Blimey.

If it's £125 for both for 3 months, that's pretty good? That's just over £40 a month....I've just switched from British Gas who in the last year have upped my monthly payment (for both) from £60 to £100. And I live in a 1 bed flat, we're out all day at work and heating isn't on over the summer.

take your meter readings, regularly, for example monthly. Write them on your calendar or somewhere and phone or input them online to your supplier.

Then you will not get estimated bills, and, if you can be bothered, you can track the cost of what you have used.

120 a month for both here, 2 bed flat. 125 sounds very cheap!
