Will Reporting a Change in circumstance to HMRC affect when I get CTC?

I started work on Tuesday and rang up HMRC to tell them about my JSA stopping as I have started working. I already got Child Tax Credit, so they took all the info over the phone and said they would send me an award but am due a CTC payment tomorrow.

Will telling them about my job on Tuesday mean I won't get my normal regular payment tomorrow?

Or do they stop it all immediately and I have to wait until they have sorted WTC out.

Has anyone dealt with this before? I do not get my first wages until next week and if I don't get CTC tomorrow will have no money for bills/food until next Thurs.

Advice please TIA xx

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you'll still get it tomorrow as it will probably take a few weeks before they work things out.

Yeah I thought that too, but am just worried about getting caught out and being left without... We'll see...
