Mortgage repayment cover insurance

They paid for a year of mortgage repayment cover (cos i was made redundant cos of business went under) which expired in may this year and now we are paying the full mortgage cost

Do we still need to pay the mortgage repayment cover still?

no I don't think so. You can't have cover as you don't have a job therefore no cover = no premium.

but presumably it covers dh/dp too ? Looks carefully at the small print , you don't want them claiming money back by defaulting.
