Credit report - why do some banks not update monthly?

I have one credit card where about 3 months ago, I did a 0% Balance transfer onto another credit card. However, on my credit report, the figure on the old credit card would just not go down!!! Basically, it looks as though I owe more money on credit cards than I actually do.

In fact, that one credit card has not updated for the past 3 months! It seems that all my other credit cards have updated on a monthly basis. I'm not sure what makes this one different (a Halifax one).

Can something be done about this?

Is it causing you any direct problems borrowing money or similar? Lenders usually use credit reports to judge your general financial behaviour rather than what you owe. Outstanding balances they can get from you by way of statements.
