Paypal refund from John Lewis on 'temporary hold' by paypal

John Lewis refunded me for some items of clothing that didn't fit and when I looked at my paypal account it said 'on temporary hold'. I phoned paypal last week to ask when it would go back on my account and they said it would today....but it hasn't.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Oh and will it go back onto my paypal account or my bank account?

It has put me off using paypal as this is the second time it has happened.
