Anyone had an unexpected PPI refund recently from Barclays?

Just checked online banking and almost fell off my chair. A very substantial amount of money was put into our account today which just says 'PPI and Int Refund'. We haven't made a claim for PPI so dont know where it has come from? Are banks now just refunding without a claim being made?

Hi , I also received it today and have no idea where it's come from and why. Did you manage fond out?

Barclays do "spot checks" for mis-sold PPI, I have had £14k in refunds, they repay your premiums plus interest plus any charges you may have incurred - you will receive a letter very soon. Enjoy your windfall!
