Pension schemes, can you consolidate different ones together

Dh has about 5 small pensions which were started at different times in his career. We keep getting different statements, this one is worth 3000, that one worth 4600 etc.

I know I ought to sort out a financial advisor, where did you find yours?

Most pensions have a transfer value, which means you should be able to transfer them to another pension. However, I think I'm right that some companies are better with the transfer value than others. I had 3 pensions a couple of years ago, each with around £10k in then. I wanted to transfer them all over to one, but found that while I could transfer the full amount of 1, the other one would only give me 75% or something (so I didn't bother).

It's probably best to ring up the compaines involved and ask them?
