DH has gone on a stag do abroard. Although it was the worse day ever (thurs) due to the airports and delays he arrived safely.

That night he was pick pocketed . He has lost around ?500 in local currency and around ?100 english currency along with credit cards, wallet and mobile.

I have cancelled everything and I am able to prove what money he took away with him and also the value of his wallet and mobile.

Problem is he's made a police report but found it difficult due to language barrier and also felt interigated (you know what foreign police can be like..)
On the report he's got confussed with the local currency and doesn't think he's given the right amount (less) and he also didn't mention his mobile as the never asked and he forgot to say.

Where do we stand..?? I can prove the english and foreign currency he took and can prove from his network provider than his mobile has been cancelled but will the insurance company consider this given the fact it's not on the police report..? Do they focus on this report 100%..?

I have told dh to speak to police again but he spent a day there yesterday and says it's not as easy as it sounds iykwim.

Anyone offer any advice.? It's only the difference of ?200 and his mobile but it's the fact that he's got insurance and may not get back what he had...Grrrrr I HATE thiefs.

Call the insurance company - they are probably well used to this sort of thing
I think they just want to know it was reported
