Do Virgin Media charge you if you change your package?

At the moment I have a TV, home phone and broadband package with virgin media. I need to save money so want to cut out the tv and home phone but leave broadband. I've tried looking on the website and cannot find anything about what the deal is if you want to downsize your package (lots of info about adding to though...). Do they charge you a fee if you want to downsize or cancel your package?

They didn't charge us when we changed - we'd been with them about 2yrs when we changed and had finished our promo offer. The new package we chose was for 12m so I assume if you are locked in to some sort of offer they may charge otherwise no, I don't think they do.

depends if you are still in a contract period or not. Call customer services and tell them you want to cancel virgin because you're going to go to you view (or similar).

You'll be passed to retentions team and they give you the best deals. you may find you can stay on the same package but get it for £35 per month rather than £42....

Also try getting a better box - tivo and maybe a superhub....

worth a shot Smile

forgot to say it is usually cheaper to keep the phone with bb.

still worth going through retentions to see what the deals are

Get them to spell out any deal from retentions clearly...I've just found out the reason they could cut my price by 20 quid was by cutting my phone bundle back to Talk Weekends only. I don't remember agreeing to that!
