Tax credits usually make an extra payment don't they when they've done your review ?

I'm sure this has happened every year when I've sent off my review form but just thought i'd check.

It's not mega money, more like an extra payment of what I normally get.

It depends if they owe you or not. I kept really up to date this year... phoned them with every tiny change in our circumstances. On the plus side, we didn't owe anything, but we also weren't due a single penny extra

Hmmm well I am already confused because yesterday they wrote saying they hadn't recieved my form and then this morning I got to letters stating what I had recieved so far and what I was still due for the rest of the tax year so they must of recieved my form.

It is usually normal for me to get an extra payment once the review is done so don't think i'll stress, plus have just paid a bill with it so it's a bit tough if it's wrong.

I would phone them if I were you, just to check. I have always found the operators really helpful, and much easier than filling in the confusing forms! You will only get an extra payment if they have over-estimated your income for 2005-06.

It is quiet now. I just rang to do my annual declaration, got straight through. Done and dusted in less than 5 minutes.
