i'm doing what Martin Lewis suggests and transferring my balance etc.every year to a credit card that doesn't charge interest for approx.1 year.this one's nearly finished.anyone know of the best one at the moment?

i've just transfered to mbna got 9 months interest fee, hope that helps.

Try this to compare rates. Some are doing 0% on balance transfers for 12 months but I think they all charge a transfer fee of around 2% now here

Can I just ask Pandagirl 03, on the MBNA card did you have to pay a 2% balance transfer fee? I have just done a balance transfer with them, (at 4.9%!!!!!), and they charged me the 2% fee without telling me first, (done over the phone). I am thinking about writing a letter of complaint - am NOT HAPPY.

they have only charged me 2% to transfer the balance, haven't been charged anything else and its 0% for 9 months. i have had 1st statement so i know thats all they have charged me. hth

Post office are doing a card 0% interest free with no transfer fee. There's only a few of them about now without fees to discourage everyone from doing it but I'm sure there's a scam using online betting accounts you can do to make it look like a purchase, you top up an account from your new card & withdraw money back into your account. Then you just use the money to clear off the other card. Not sure of the exact plan but one of the money saving sites will have it somewhere.
