I'm in North London - sorry, should have said that to start with!

Moves. For me they were very expensive, but for my brother they were not at all expensive (a question of logistics, I suppose), but both of us had absolutely superb service. Can't fault them at all! These men do not walk - they run. They don't waste one second of time. The only damaged item was a thermometer, everything was immaculatly packed and labeled, they were polite and helpful and extremely professional.

We used Maitland Bell last time we moved and we were very happy with them. I opted for the full packing service and it was the easiest move I've ever done.

Simpsons are brill but are in Gravesend Kent I think they have other offices but they are good and work hard

Thanks. I'm getting quotes from all of these. Fingers crossed they are not too high. I'm so naive I thought moving costs were the least of my worries but friends say it can be really expensive!

I used a local company (not local to N London though). The office staff were shite but the blokes that turned up on the day were FANTASTIC. Price was 1/2 that of the bigger national movers.
