does anyone know anything at all about nitrofuran, or aother anbtibiotic testing facilities?

urgent and very important to us.
dh and i need to get some prawns tested for nitrofurans. apparently the stuff is illegal above a certain concentration of ppb, but dh imprts these things from asia, where they dont have the testing facilities. he did not know the stuff didnt compoly, now they want to destroy the consignment. but we cannot afford to lose this, as it is about 120 000 pounds worth of goods.

we'd lose everything. the house everything.
does anyone know of any independant labs that would test this so we can get a second opinion?

Try the food lab at Leatherhead - can't remember formal title but if you google food laboratory Leatherhead you should get it. One of the best in the country. If they can't do it, they should be able to tell you who can.

me too. dh will phone them tomorrow and see what can happen.
