Ds received a Toys R Us voucher for his birthday. When in the store I was told I could keep the card and top it up. I thought this was great, I could add the kids pocket money to a card and they could save up for something.

Anyway, apparently you can't top it up. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a card you could top up that didn't involve huge fees?

don't put lots of money on store cards/vouchers - if they go bust you lose it all, and it can happen to any store.

just open a kids' savings accounts (they get good interest rates although on sod all money) or use a piggy bank!
