Paying Tax on second job - quick query re filling out P46

Hi there, I work part time in the nhs and pay basic rate tax via PAYE. Just got myself a little Saturday job elsewhere and they asked me to complete a P46. I don't know what box to tick on the last box re tax. Can anyone help please? I don't want to go on emergency tax if I don't need to!

A quick answer would be appreciated as they need it back today.

you need to tick the box saying its your second job so will be on BR for a few weeks
BUT
with the RTI system, they'll soon be able to see if you are not using your coding up in your main job and allocate some tax code to the second job - its all automatic (ish)

Thank you Talkinpeace. I did tick that box, so that's a relief.

I called up the tax office and asked them to split my tax code.

Thanks for your advice Nobrainer, maybe I need to ring the tax office and ask them the best thing to do.
